Tour Duration : 11 Nights / 12 Days
Day 1: Delhi
Upon arrival at the international airport Delhi late in the
evening/morning. Our representative will assist you in getting transferred to
your hotel. Check in at the hotel. If time permits go for local sightseeing.
Check-in at the hotel. Stay Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: New Delhi
This day is kept for the local sightseeing of the city.
After having breakfast at the hotel, the chauffeur will take you to the full
day city tour. Proceed to New Delhi and visit Lotus Temple also known as Bahai
Temple built in a shape of Lotus. Then proceed to Qutub Minar, the 72 meters
high minaret. After admiring the huge minaret,
Go to India Gate which is also known as All India War
Memorial then proceed to Birla Mandir and en-route see Rastrapati Bhawan, the
presidents house. After lunch proceed to Old Delhi and see the Red Fort &
Jama Masjid. In the evening enjoy shopping and strolling in the famous Chandni
Chowk Bazaar. Enjoy shopping and food there. Drive back to the hotel and stay
overnight.
Day 3: New Delhi - Jaipur (by Road 260kms approx in 5hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, the Pink City, founded in
1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber. Reach there and check in
at the hotel. Then go for local sightseeing. Explore the beautiful architecture
of HAWA MAHAL, BIRLA TEMPLE and JANTAR MANTAR, the go to see the well preserve
history in the MUSEUM. In the evening proceed to Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic
village. It is one its own kind, each of the detailed work in the village tells
you about the culture and tradition of Rajasthan. It could be Camel Rides,
Elephant Rides, Tonga Rides, Bullock Cart Rides, Bow n Arrows, Turbans or Food;
it will make you feel a KING. Dinner and cultural program will be organized for
you at Chokhi Dhani. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 4: Jaipur - Agra (by Road 232kms approx in 5hrs
30mins)
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for an excursion to
AMBER FORT in the outskirts of Jaipur. Elephant ride ascent to the fort. Enjoy
the wonderful carvings and minute mirror work on the walls & ceilings.
Later get driven to Agra, this was once a capital of India, when Mughals ruled.
En-route visit Fatehpur Sikri built by Emperor Akbar in 1569, was the old
capital of the Mughals, which was abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of
water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti,
Panch Mahal & other Palaces which are still preserved in its original
glory. Reach Agra and visit RED FORT, which was built by Emperor Akbar in 1565,
and additions were made up until the time of his grandson, Shah Jahan. It
contains the hall of public and private audiences amongst many other beautiful
structures; Itmad-ud-daulah, which was constructed by Nur Jahan between 1622
and 1628 and is very similar to the tomb she constructed for her husband,
Jehangir, near Lahore in Pakistan; the highlight of the day THE TAJ MAHAL,
which was constructed by Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Construction of the Taj began in 1631 and was not completed until 1653. Enjoy
the Rikshaw Ride here. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Agra - Varanasi (By train Marudhar Exp-4854
departs at 21:20 & arrives at 10:30 hrs)
In morning after breakfast check out from hotel and get
ready to again to see its view in the dawn THE TAJ MAHAL. In Afternoon free for
shopping & personal activities. In late evening transfer to railway station
for board a train to Varanasi. Overnight in Train.
Day 6: Arrive Varanasi - Sarnath
Arrive at Varanasi and get transferred to your pre-booked
hotel. Check in and get fresh. After relax ready to go for Sarnath (10 km) to
see Dhamekh Stupa, Sarnath Museum, The Ashokan Pillar. Later return back
Varanasi Visit Raja Ghat & Munshi Ghat where you can also attend the
evening Aarti. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Varanasi - Bodhgaya (by road 246 kms)
In Morning after breakfast check out from hotel & drive
to Bodhgaya upon arrival transfer to hotel. Bodhgaya As the place of the
Buddha's Enlightenment, Bodhgaya is the spiritual home of Buhddhists. Bodhgaya
situated near the river Niranjana, is one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage
centres since it was here that Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi
tree. Later visit Mahabodhi Temple, Niranjana River, Sujata Village. Night stay
in Bodhgaya.
Day 08: Bodhgaya Ragjir Nalanda - Patna (by road)
After Breakfast check out from hotel & drive to Patna
en-route sightseeing of Nalanda & Rajgir. Rajgir -The picturesque Rajgir,
or Rajagriha as it was known in the past (literally, the abode of kings) is
surrounded by the meandering river Banganga and 5 hills. During the lifetime of
the Buddha this was the capital of the powerful Magadhan kingdom, ruled by the
virtuous King Bimbisara. The hills and caves surrounding Rajagriha were home to
spiritual teachers, ranging from the materialism of the early Charavaka School
to the metaphysics of Upanishadic philosophers. Like many others in search of
truth, Prince Siddhartha, after he renounced his royal heritage came to this
city to seek the path of vation. Nalanda -Nalanda was the most renowned
university in ancient India. It derived its name from Na-alam-da, meaning
Insatiable in Giving, one of the names by which the Lord Buddha was known.
Arrive Patna and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay in Patna.
Day 09: Patna Vaishali - (by road 62 km) - Kushinagar (by
road 169 kms)
In morning after breakfast check out from hotel & get
driven to Vaishali. See Ashok pillar, Buddha stupa, and temple. Later proceed
for Kushinagar. Upon arrival Kushinagar check in at hotel. In Evening
participate in a chanting and meditation session. (Subject to availability of
appropriate teachers). Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 10: Kushinagar - Lumbini (by road 162 kms)
In morning after breakfast check out from hotel, & go
for sightseeing tour of Kushinagar visit Mahaparinirvan Temple, Rambhar Stupa,
Mata Kutir Temple etc. In afternoon get driven to Lumbini. Arrive Lumbini and
check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 11: Lumbini - Sharavasti (by road 214 km)
After breakfast check out from hotel & go for
sightseeing tour of Lumbini including a visit to the birth Place of Lord
Buddha. Later drive to Shravasti - the capital of the ancient kingdom of
Kosala, has the honor for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in the Jetvana
Gardens. The city believed to be founded by the mythological king Sravast, has
age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples. Buddha is said to
have performed some miracles here. In Sravasti visit Saheth - Maheth &
Jetvan. Night stay in Sravasti.
Day 12: Shravasti - Lucknow (by road 165 kms) - Delhi
(by train Shatabdi exp- 2003 dept at 15:35 & arrive at 22:05 hrs) - Fly
Back to home..!!
In morning after breakfast check out from hotel & get
driven to Lucknow- city of Nawabs created by Asaf Ud Daula. Upon arrival
Lucknow Visit Bara Imambara built by Nawab Asaf Ud Daula, Chhota Imambara and
Museum. After lunch proceed for the railway station to board Shatabadi Express
for Delhi. On reaching Delhi, free for onward journey.
