Day 01 - Bangalore
The NTP India Tourism representatives will be greeting
you upon arrival at Bangalore Airport. After which, you will be transferred to
the hotel where you will be checking in. Your nature tour to India begins with
a day’s worth sightseeing tour of the garden city of Bangalore and visits to
beautiful buildings such as the Vidhan Soudha, Museum and Tipu’s Fort Palace.
Bangalore, the IT capital of India, is a vibrant city of
the south. Blessed with a pleasant weather throughout the year, the city is
loved for its beautiful parks and lakes all around. In Bangalore, you can take
a stroll among the trees in the calm atmosphere of the Cubbon Park, hop into
the malls or street-side markets for shopping, or visit a craft brewery for a
drink. Be it anything you are looking for – street food corners, cafes, pubs,
coffee roasters, buffets, brunches, or cuisines from all over the world; you
name it, Bangalore has it. So, if you are looking for south Indian tour

Day 02 - Mysore
After breakfast, our cab services will drive you to
Mysore, where you will check-in to the hotel. Mysore offers a plethora of
options to its visitors for sightseeing. Some of the spectacular places that
you can visit in Mysore include the Brindavan Gardens, Shivanasamudra Falls,
Mysore Zoo, Karanji Lake, and the Chamundi Hills. Mysore is referred to as the
cultural capital of Karnataka and is home to several lavish and royal palaces.
Due to its vast reserves of the Sandalwood tree, it is also known by the name
of Sandalwood city. The day will be complete with a visit to the gorgeous
Brindavan Gardens. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03 - Mysore
This Karnataka Kerala tour lets you delve deeper into the
art, culture and history of the old city of Mysore. After breakfast on the
third day is another day of sightseeing that comprises the Maharaja Palace,
Devaraja fruit and vegetable market and the Tipu Sultan Palace. The Maharaja
Palace is a feast for the eyes. It was built in 1897 in Indo Saracenic style
and is one of the largest palaces in India. The palace used to be the residence
of the royal family of Wodayars. Tipu Sultan’s Palace is an equally magnificent
accommodation that belonged to the valiant Tipu Sultan. It is a true mark of
intricate craftsmanship and Indo-Islamic architecture. The palace was also
called “Rash-e-Jannat” meaning “Envy of Heaven”. There’s a museum at the ground
floor that showcases a portrait of the ruler, his clothes, swords, as well as
the missiles used in the wars with the British.
The cosmopolitan nature of the city, people from all
religions and facets of life, and a host of monuments, historic sites, and
buildings all make it a fascinating city to visit and add to your India tour
itinerary.

Day 04 - Kabini
On the banks of the famous Kabini River is the Kabini
Forest Reserve, an awe-inspiring ecosystem that is teeming with wildlife and
was once the hunting grounds of erstwhile British rulers and King of Mysore.
The reserve sprawls across 55 acres and is home to several bird species, wild
animals, trekking and bird watching spots and lakes. The highlight of this
South India tour is a trip to observe and soak in this wonderful coexistence of
animal life.
Kabini is a must-visit destination for tourists who are
looking for a perfect holiday spent among the lush green forests and
breathtaking waterfalls. At Kabini, take a break from your busy and hectic
schedule and indulge in nature. You can trek in the forest and connect with the
surroundings and nature or boat down the Kabini river for an exhilarating
experience. As you can also find a large number of Asiatic elephants in the
Kabini forest reserve, taking up a Jungle Safari can be a great way to get
closer to the wildlife.

Day 05 - Wayanad
The 5th day of this South India travel package starts
with a post-breakfast drive to Wayanad. Popularly called the land of the paddy
fields, Wayanad is one among Kerala’s popular hill stations. It is also the
largest producer of Pepper in India. With spice trails, plantations, lush hills
and wildlife, it is one of the most decorated districts in the state. On route
to Wayanad, you will be visiting Banasura dam, which is the second largest dam
in Asia and the Bhagavathi temple. The Banasura dam lies in the Banasura
foothills and is built across the Karamanathodu river. The dam gets its name
from ‘Banasura’, the son of Mahabali, the famous ruler of Kerala. Here, you can
trek through the forests to the Banasura Peak or take a boating trip in the
lake. There’s a small nature park near the boating place as well with
traditional tree swings for the kids to enjoy. The best time to visit the dam
is from November to May. In addition to visiting the Bhagavathi temple, you can
also go to other nearby temples, such as the Shri Ayyappa Mandir, Nirur Shiva
Mandir, and Shri Nath Mandir.

Day 06 - Wayanad - Calicut
After breakfast, you will be visiting Lakkidi, which is
also called the Gateway to Wayanad, Pazhassiraja Museum and Art Gallery,
Pookott Lake and Kuruva Dweep. Kuruva Dweep is a fascinating and complex chain
of small islands comprising a wide variety of flora and migratory birds. After
these visits, you will be proceeding to Calicut and checking in to the hotel
upon arrival. In the late 14th century, Vasco Da Gama set foot on Calicut’s
beloved Kappad Beach, opening the door for spice trade from India to the rest
of the world. To commemorate the event, a small stone monument was built at the
beach.
Calicut is home to some prehistoric rock-cut caves.
During the time of Chera administration, the region was a major trade centre,
but the city didn’t come into existence until the thirteenth century when King
Udaiyavar conquered the area around Ponninankar and built a fort in Velapuram,
now called Calicut. Other popular attractions that you can plan to visit in and
around Calicut are Dolphin’s point, the Science Planetarium at Jaffarkhan
Colony, Mananchira, Thusharagiri, Vadakara, Beypore, Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary
and many more.
Calicut is also known for its kind and hospitable people,
sumptuous food and an aura of happiness that drenches its visitors.
Day 07 - Cochin
With beautiful urban forests and towering cityscapes,
Cochin city awaits your presence, a week into your 13-day tour. Cochin is one
of the most important shipping ports in Asia for spice, coffee, tea and other
goods. The fast paced metropolis is a growing hub for technology, art, culture,
music and sport.
For centuries, Cochin has been the trading spot for
merchants and tourists across countries, predominantly the Portuguese, Arabs
and British, who left their imprints and legacies behind. Travelling in Cochin
will mesmerise you with its backwaters, beaches, hill stations, and staggering
palm trees. Tourists who have been awestruck with the rich flora and fauna of
Cochin often describe the place as bountiful and beautiful.
You can catch a glimpse of the intriguing mixed culture
of Cochin with the architecture, museums, European-built churches, and the tiny
historical towns. When in Cochin, also experience the Kerala Folklore Theatre
and witness the treasure of the region’s numerous art and dance forms.

Day 08 - Cochin
After breakfast, your tour of Cochin starts, with
sightseeing around town. This will include visits to St. Francis Church, 500
year old Portuguese houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th century synagogue, Jew
Town and Mattancherry Palace, which was built by the Portuguese and houses some
very interesting and notable mural paintings. Mattancherry gets its name from
the popular Brahmin house named, “Ancherry Mattam”. It came to be called as
Mattancherry because the foreign traders pronounced it as “Matt-Ancherry”.
In the evening you will be attending a “Kathakali” event,
which is a traditional Malayali dance-form that depicts stories from Hindu
mythology.The great food, authentic shopping, soothing massages, temples, and
the amazing beach holidays in India that it offers, all make Cochin a great
travel destination.

Day 09 - Alleppey - House Boat Tour
Your trip continues with a post-breakfast drive to
Alleppey. Alleppey is a beautiful state in Kerala often referred to as the
“Venice of the East” by many tourists enchanted by its beauty. On arrival, you
will be boarding a traditional Kerala houseboat which will cruise through Alleppey’s
winding waterways, providing an insight into the lifestyle, culture and
unrelenting beauty of small fishing villages. The houseboat ride is the perfect
escape for travelers looking to witness a different side of Indian tourism. In
addition to admiring the picturesque and poetic beauty of backwaters, you can
also savour Kerala delicacies and cuisines on the houseboat.

Day 10 - Kumarakom
After breakfast you will disembark the houseboat at
Kumarakom. Consisting of a settlement of villages on the Vembanad lake,
Kumarakom is also home to an extensive 14 acre bird sanctuary serving a treat
to bird lovers and ornithologists. The Kumarakom is visited by flocks of
Darters, Teals, Egrets, Herons, Cuckoo, Wild Duck, and migratory birds like the
Siberian Stork. It is also extremely popular for its prawns, tiger prawns, and
the “Karimeen” fish. Other attractions around Kumarakom
Meandering waterways, canopies of coconut trees and many
other sights make this a memorable destination for most visitors. Overnight
stay will be at the hotel.
Day 11 - Kovalam Beach
In the morning, you will be proceeding to Kovalam Beach,
checking in at the hotel upon arrival. Kovalam beach is rated among the top 100
beaches in the world. With inviting blue waters and an exotic crescent shape,
Kovalam is Kerala’s coastal paradise and the goto destination for those on
South Indian holidays. After checking in, the rest of the day is to stroll
through the sands and witness the sundown on Kovalam’s scenic horizon.
You can find a variety of leisure options at the beach,
such as swimming, sunbathing, herbal massages, catamaran cruising, and cultural
programmes as well. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 12 - Kovalam Beach
This will be a day for rest and rejuvenation with an
option for Ayurvedic massages and treatment. There are plenty of resorts and
centres near the Kovalam beach that offer attractive packages for Ayurvedic
massages. You can go for the one that suits your needs and budget. Due to the
proven benefits of Ayurveda on the mind and the body, these massages and

Day 13 - Departure
